Air Force Airman’s Guide for Assisting Personnel in Distress
You wouldn’t think that much could be innovative about a pocket manual, but we found a way, on a project for U.S. Air Force Airmen. Using a synthetic paper material so that it would withstand wear and tear in the field, our team produced a pocket field guide of a nature seldom seen in the marketplace. The carefully selected paper is lightweight, highly durable, water resistant, and specially designed to fit inside an Airman’s pocket—important features for Airmen on duty in the field and in the air.
These important guides, called the Airman’s Guide for Assisting Personnel in Distress, required a thorough initial copyedit and proofread. We also designed the template for the manual, handled the layout, and coordinated the printing and fulfillment of 275,000 copies of the guide, which were shipped to Air Force bases all over the world.
The Air Force enthusiastically embraced the use of this paper technology and recognized our team for the great success and endurance of the redesigned pocket guides.
