StratComm Awarded Additional Contracts Supporting SSA’s VHR Program

As a result of recent contract awards from the Social Security Administration (SSA), StratComm is pleased to announce that we will be continuing our management of the SSA Verbatim Hearing Recorder (VHR) program—and in fact increasing our nationwide footprint.
StratComm recently captured 11 contract awards across Regions 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and part of Region 4 in support of the VHR program. This increases our servicing of hearings for SSA’s Office of Hearing Operations (OHO) nationwide, adding more than 10,000 hearings per month to our existing coverage, to over 50,000 hearings per month. We will be contracting with approximately 850 VHRs nationwide to service these hearings. The SSA Disability Hearing program is the largest trial-type hearing program in the world, and StratComm holds, by a large margin, the most contracts to provide VHR services of any single contractor for this program.
Since StratComm began servicing hearings in Region 1 (New England) in 2015, we have increased coverage across all regions throughout the United States. Our team has supported SSA by streamlining program operations and incorporating strategic technological enhancements. StratComm has a strong performance record in managing this large and challenging program. Our team has continued to build on its significant past performance by also capturing contracts for other programs related to the VHR program, including providing Vocational Experts (VEs) to attend the disability appeal hearings, and developing a web portal and servicing the application process for Direct Payment to Eligible Non-Attorney Representatives (EDPNA).
As StratComm expands our reach with the SSA VHR program, we are ever more confident that our experience, combined with our technology and innovations, will continue to serve SSA exceptionally well.
