StratComm’s International Development Effort in Indonesia
Since StratComm completed our project earlier this year with USAID Indonesia to print, bind, kit, and deliver 7.5 million reading books to schoolchildren and teachers in thousands of schools across Indonesia, the impact of our outreach efforts continues to pay more dividends than we could have ever imagined.
Indeed, it was an enormous and very fulfilling effort on the part of StratComm and our team members, as we engineered a solution to complete this logistically complex project in just a five-month timeframe. Working closely with our partners, and updating the USAID team on a regular basis, our project management team managed high-volume printing and logistics services, closely monitored quality control, and paid careful attention to every detail to ensure that these millions of books arrived safely to all their destinations in perfect shape. We would have it no other way.
As part of the USAID PRIORITAS program, a key goal of this effort is to improve education management and governance in Indonesian schools. By providing the books to Indonesian schoolchildren and teachers, USAID hopes to supplement and enrich existing classroom instruction while improving children’s reading skills, ultimately yielding successful educational outcomes and fostering capacity building.
StratComm continues to be humbled by the great honor of playing a key role in this international development program. This video encapsulates the effort of the StratComm team in this important endeavor, but more importantly, demonstrates the influence and outreach of our international development education programs, and the effect that these programs have on young learners and teachers around the world.
