StratComm Fostering Important Relationships with Veterans Organizations

Throughout StratComm’s long history we have formed unique and important relationships with numerous like-minded organizations, particularly those that support our incredibly capable veterans.

As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and the 2016 SBA Veteran-Owned Business of the Year, we perform work under contract for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and our in-house team volunteers their time and resources helping a wide variety of veterans’ organizations.

With more than 35 years of experience in publishing, content development, and project management, StratComm contributes to many veteran-related programs. Recently, StratComm volunteered to assist the Boston VA Medical Center with a new program that includes writing and artwork as part of PTSD therapy. The StratComm team edited, designed, and printed a special book of artwork created by veterans participating in this new and very successful alternative therapy program called Creative Expressions, which offers veterans a safe environment in which to express themselves through artwork and writing.

In collaboration with the Vietnam Veterans of America, StratComm published The Wall and Welcome Home books that honor the dedication of our country’s veterans, on the battlefield and on the homefront. Further, StratComm has worked with the VA on major web-based training initiatives such as the $4.7 million contract to create and implement VA IT Campus, a robust, online interactive platform for virtual training of VA IT staff located across the country.

In addition, StratComm hires veterans to staff many of the programs we manage for the 17 federal agencies for whom we perform work. We look forward to continuing to foster strong relationships with veteran organizations that do such important work.
