StratComm Welcomes Heather Barboza as Corporate Controller
StratComm is pleased to welcome Heather Barboza to the StratComm team as our Corporate Controller.
As Controller, Heather is responsible for the overall management of StratComm’s financial operations. She directs all accounting, bookkeeping, billing, and invoicing functions, and plays a significant role overseeing the daily accounting of our Social Security Administration program. Additionally, Heather manages all financial aspects of StratComm’s proprietary web application, DASH, the program’s communication, scheduling, and invoicing portal. Heather is a key member of the company’s management team and plays a critical role in analyzing and assessing business development opportunities, working with the 18 federal agencies for whom StratComm performs work.
Before joining StratComm, Heather was assistant controller at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement, a nonprofit organization that focuses on improving healthcare processes worldwide. Over the past 14 years, she helped manage the rapid growth of the organization, having a large hand in process improvement in accounting operations, overseeing billing and collections of federally funded projects, and managing financial reporting, cash flow, audits, taxes, and payroll.
Heather holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northeastern University. We are delighted to welcome Heather to the StratComm team.
