Babson College Centennial Book
StratComm led the creation of a book commemorating the centennial of Babson College in Massachusetts. Founded in 1919, Babson is a highly specialized school focused on the study and training of entrepreneurship of all kinds. Babson has been rated the No. 1 school in the U.S. for entrepreneurship for 19 straight years. The Babson team, including President Kerry Healey (former lieutenant governor of Massachusetts), asked for more than writing; they needed a complete rethinking of the project and a plan to get from initial ideas to completed, bound books in a relatively short timeframe.
After researching the purpose of the book and the resources available, StratComm recommended creating a three-part book, focusing on a chronological history, an examination of how the Babson methodology brought entrepreneurship to every kind of business, and Babson’s global impact. Working seamlessly with the Babson team, we designed and assembled the book with photographic and other visual resources acquired from the Babson archives and other sources.
Using deep knowledge of printing and production and its longstanding vendor relationships, StratComm performed well with the tight schedule and brought the final price down considerably from initial estimates. The project is being delivered on time and on budget, with a very satisfied client.
